The team took inspiration from the Vegas showgirl aesthetic seen in burlesque dancing and theatrical performances. Burlesque, a dance-based art form that originated in the 19th century, involved well-rehearsed singing, dancing, and theatrical elements. It was considered controversial in the 1960s when women would often remove clothing as the performance progressed.

The team aimed to showcase the theatrical elements of burlesque in their styled shoot, incorporating lighting, props, and posing to evoke emotion and movement.
